Cuteness inbound

This time last year Link took his very first flight.

Difference #1: Streamline the gear

We were pretty stressed about last years flight. We had to learn to manage all of the baby gear. How to check the car seat and stroller. How to move through the airport with all of the gear. How to get liquids through security. It was tough, but once we got on the flight Linkers slept while we watched TV. This year, we checked the car seat, and got a cool stroller which folds and fits in the overhead compartment. 

This year was a bit different. Getting through the airport? No problem. Surviving the flight? A bit more work. 

Difference #2: Constant motion 

No down time during the flight. No laptop, no reading. It's all about entertaining the baby. 

Difference #3: Compromise on sleep

Sleep is scarce. Link slept for 25 minutes all day. He usually naps 3 hours a day. 

Difference #4: Pre-flight prep

First we burn off energy at the airport. It beats chasing baby down the aisle when he escapes. Or pulling him out from under the seat in front of you.

Difference #5: Follow the baby

All of this space for me? Nope, mom and dad spent a lot of time standing so link could sit. And climb. Almost half of first class was kids. I guess we all decided holiday travel stress = time to splurge on miles. There were a few unhappy patrons. 

Difference #6: Not as cute

There was only one cooing flight attendant this trip. No one offered wings. When Linkers let one rip during our 40 minute landing it was not appreciated by the entire cabin. Daddy took care of big stinker when we finally landed.
