A snapshot of Lex at 12 months
- Lots of teeth (7?) plus molars on the way
- Stands, and cruises. No independent walking yet, but this guy gets around via crawling, and walker toys.
- Happiest kiddo
- Loves his parents. Does not love being away from parents. Also loves his Jessica.
- Still nursing, but also enjoys his formula.
- Responds to his name
- Loves to clap, make sounds, imitate
- First (and only) word: "Uh, oh" as in, yes, I dropped that again. Please get it. Now.
- Loves carbs - cherrios, crackers, fish, pretzels, bagels. Tolerates purees in the form of baby packets - store bought only, not home made. Prefers fruit.
- Refuses to eat real food, but enjoys rearranging it onto the floor.
- Attends gymboree once a week and loves to explore. This little guy is fearless, he crawls through tunnels, up ramps, etc. Linkers was not into these risks.
- Loves his big brother. Especially enjoys playing the same toy as Link.
- Link likes to make Lex happy, and will frequently search for cherrios or baby puffs if Lex is crying. "Mommy, can I make Lex happy?"
- Sometimes Link isn't so into the Lex. Like when Lex becomes the destroyer of whatever Link is lining up. "Take Lex away!"
- We had to name our Amazon Echo "Amazon" because whenever we said "Lex" in the kitchen Alexa would ask how she can help.
- Lex insists on falling asleep with a hand on his back. Nap or bedtime, companionship and time is the only way this guy will go down.
- Lex isn't into 2 naps per day. He wakes up around 7am, then takes a 1-2 hour nap about 2-4 hours after he wakes up. That's usually it until bedtime, around 7:30pm
