Bike to Google

Link just finished kindergarten prep week at preschool. The teachers run the class like kindergarten for the week, from drop off at the gate, to assigned group activities, even making the kids bring lunch and backpacks!

The week culminated in a field trip - kids all brought their bikes or scooters, google provided bikes for parents, and we all biked about a mile through trails to have lunch on campus at google.

Link is in the yellow helmet and teacher Sean is holding him and his bike up above everyone else

Link was second to last for most of the trip, with a significant gap between him and the crew. This is likely related to mom coming and riding right next to him, which may have been distracting.

After several stops to walk the bikes up and down hills, the kids reconvened on campus. They made such good time that we had to play for awhile before the cafe opened. Many working parents met the crew on campus.

The chefs were thrilled to host our excited group. They reserved tables, brought out pizzas, veggies, water, and even arranged cookies for dessert.

Yes that’s grapefruit spa water for the kids. Many of them did not care for the infused flavor.

Kiddos had fun exploring the buildings, link loved playing soccer (fooseball) and waiting in the barista line because he found a jar of chocolate chip biscotti.

At the end of lunch we all had to bike back.

Because this took most of my day off, link had to come with me to get my nails done. He sat right with me in the seat and enjoyed a full day of mom time.
