Ben and Link at Night

Julie and I take turns watching Link at night. One of the benefits of Julie pumping and storing breast milk is that I can feed Link and be a pretty effective solo parent for a few hours. Our schedule is usually:

[Team Baby in Purple, Ben in Blue, Julie in Red]

  • < 10:30pm: Ben and Julie parenting together. Sometimes we watch Breaking Bad with Link. It's his favorite show
  • 10:30pm: Julie goes to sleep
  • 10:30pm - 3:30am: Ben and Link party


  • 3:30am: Ben and Link come back upstairs for bedtime.
  • 3:30am - 6:00am: Family sleepover
  • > 6:00am: Julie takes Link downstairs for the morning.
What do I do for roughly five hours with Link at night? 

 
Feeding Link takes a lot of time. I'm usually able to multitask by watching Netflix while feeding him. When I do get some brief moments of Link sleeping I like to clean up the kitchen/family room and prepare all the bottling stuff. When that's all done I use my remaining free time for work or email.

Overall, this time has been fantastic. It's great father/son bonding and become an expert baby feeder / changer / cleaner.

    Wonderful chart of time well-spent Ben. So glad Link loves Breaking Bad....he's already right on track with most of the family now! So many wonderful life lessons learned from Walt & Co.

    Are you back at work at this point? We can't wait to see all of you next week!
