DIY by whatever means you have

Link, you need to learn how to use power tools.

we used to have a great view into your crib. I love checking the baby monitor before I go to sleep and seeing your butt high in the air.

As soon as you learned to roll over, you started sleeping with your butt in the air. Actually, I think that's about when you started sleeping through the night.

This stopped a month ago. You got smart and mobile. You started standing in your crib, and pulled the monitor from the ledge. We had to move the monitor across the room, and lost our view of your child's pose.

So for the past month I couldn't  see you little butt at night. There is a very short period of time when it's okay for me to have a camera watching you sleep. I needed to fix the situation.

I ordered a floating shelf. It boasts an easy install of 15 minutes. I have a power drill and YouTube.

Here's the result:

Anyone wondering what's up with the side of links crib? Another DIY project. Our little woodchuck chews the paint off the railing. Only that side.

The monitor is supported on the bottom with a pacifier. Clever, right?

It gets the job done

Now I can check out your little butt in the air before falling asleep.

There's only so much I can teach you little guy.

  1. So crafty! Today I scotch tapped the fan I bought (the one piece wouldn't fit into the other...) soooo scotch tape it was! I like the support of the pacifier. Love the pics and updates, keep 'em coming!
