Link's first virtual birthday party

Link's first birthday was a huge success!

We hate being so far away from family, and we really appreciate everyone who joined the Google Hangout to be part of the event. Especially my Dad, who spent hours getting the Wilner side setup with Google Hangouts.

Rachel and cousin-brother Emet helped celebrate

Link had a great time! From left to right Briere, Chris and Kay, Karen, Rich and Lynn, Great Grandma, Rachel and Emet, Roxy, Jeff and Terry, Eric and Jenn. We maxed out the Google Hangout at 10 people!

The Trauten's and Bolon's bought Link a car. A CAR! It just arrived on our doorstep. We thought it came assembled, and unboxed in 20 minutes before the event.

Turns out, the plastic vehicle requires a power drill, hammer, 20 part YouTube video, and and alcohol for full assembly. It was not ready for the virtual party.

We assembled it after bedtime, and took it for a test run.

Linker approved! He took for a spin the next morning. He's already breaking the Wilner car rules with a cup of coffee in the cup holder.

Honey, I think we need a bigger garage. Note: While our midwest relatives think this photo looks normal, our California friends and neighbors can't believe we keep cars in the garage. According to Wilner car rules, we can't park the cars outside, especially under a tree. Link says that applies to his wheels too.

Aunt Rachel sent some super annoying toys. She claims Link needs to prepare for his Tuesday music classes. The baby band instruments came with sheet music!
