What? A virtual birthday party? How does this work?

- This is hosted by Google Plus Hangouts, it's like Facetime but allows multiple participants. - TEST YOUR CONNECTION NOW
- We will NOT provide ANY technical support during the event.
- Download any necessary plugins and test your speakers/volume using Google Hangouts BEFORE the event
- We are happy to help test your setup Wednesday before lunchtime. If you haven't tested by then, please invite a techy friend to your house to attend with you :) - At 5:30ET (8:30PT) Wednesday August 20, click here
- Watch Link open presents and play with new toys
- Turn off ALL extraneous noise. Cell phones, music, television, animals, children, doing dishes, typing, opening bags of potato chips.
- If you are causing noise, you will be muted. You will be able to hear others, but the group won't have to listen to your Dorito crunching fest.
- If we have a large number of attendees new attendees will be automatically muted. You can typically unmute by pressing the button that looks like a speaker in the upper middle area (hoover over if it' doesn't appear).
- There will be lots of boxes with different video feeds (like the Brady bunch!). By default, it will constantly switch and display the current speakers video feed. To keep Link's screen the largest, click on the video stream of Link. This will keep Link's video "pinned" on top.
This is a first for us, we'll see how it goes! Expect a repeat session soon!
