Not Perfect

People often ask me if Link ever cries. Uh, he's a baby. That's like his job. Instead of crying constantly, our little guy saves it all up. He'll be (mostly) all smiles for a week, followed by a baby freakout.

Thanks grandpa Jeff for the image

Components of a baby freakout:
  • Squealing - those previous squeaks have evolved
  • When not crying - high pitched ear piercing laughs (remember baby Lindsey and Brooke?)
  • Wakes every hour
  • Not sociable
  • Only comforted by continuous activity consisting of direct eye contact and movement
I try to explain to Link that babies should be seen and not heard, but he doesn't get it yet.

And the nights...

The sleeping part is especially hard when we're traveling because our typical tag team to get through the night strategy isn't as effective in a small apartment.

Bad sleeping habit?

Nighttime pose is usually either touchdown or airplane. We think he really wants to be a side or tummy sleeper but he has to learn how to roll over first.

Sometimes he sleeps for five hours , sometimes a max of two.

Once we are home and over baby jet lag it will be time for a little sleep training. Poor Link!
